What is a pupil librarian?

Pupil librarians are on duty at lunchtimes to help Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Light run the inquiry desk and sort out books. Their role is to:

• Be welcoming, polite and kind to all students
• Be professional and wear the school uniform correctly
• Behave in a way that sets a good example to others
• Demonstrate reliability by turning up for duty promptly and regularly
• Deal with book issue and returns effectively
• Look after a particular section of the library
• Advise other students as to book selection as required
• Help Mrs. Roberts with shelving and other reasonable miscellaneous tasks
