The Leavers' Ball of 2004

June’s Leavers’ Ball was a great success with all members of the departing Upper Sixth choosing to attend. The students were, in fact outnumbered by parents for whom in many cases it marked the formal end of a long association with RGS. One table included four sets of parents whose sons had started nursery school together fourteen years’ ago. The end of an era indeed! Before the start of dancing, led by the Heads of School, Mark Frith and Sudakshini Perera, the pupils were praised for the calm way that they had coped with examination season; culminating in the celebration of excellent results in August.
